Suspension Problems

Hi folks

I'm currently putting together the Late tiger 2012. I've hit a bit of a snag when putting the suspension together and wondered if anyone had a fix.

In regards to the Left suspension bar, it seems that the space between the bush and the hull (i.e. where the O-ring sits) has been drilled off centre to the complete bore where the bush and suspension shaft slot through.
Without the O-ring the suspenion shaft slots through nicely, but with the O-ring the suspension shaft will not go through. I've completed the right side suspenion with no problems, this seems to be the left side only.

any ideas would be great

Hi Jason
Are all your screws still loose?
if not it might be worth a try to slacken them all and see if you can realign
that side a bit,I think that is all you need.
It doesnt look like you will need to go much, check it with the right as you try and
shift the suspension bar into place.
Check to see if any little holes need to be opened up a little, better I think to have
to open up the holes in the floor if these are the culprit.
Hope that helps a bit, happy building.
cheers
Phil

My right side was done and working fine but when i tightened the left side down, some of the right stopped compresssing and jammed.
So i loosened them all and alternatly tightened each one. This did the trick

Hi Jason

That does not look right. There seems to be an error in the machining of the counter bores in the hull side plate. Unfortunately I think that the plate will have to be replaced. Very sorry about that. Can you please contact Gill to arrange a replacement.

Thanks
Mark

Thanks for all the rapid replies.

I think youre right Mark. It looks like the alignment of bores in the suspension bar are out. I'll attempt to take it apart tomorrow(as I now have a cast on my arm :() and confirm this is the problem.

Cheers,
Jason

Trying not to sound facetious but how do you know it’s the plate not the beam?
