Hetzer Jack Block

Hi Guys

This Hetzer jack block was commissioned to be made by a customer about 3 months ago, as the rest of his order is ready to ship I took time today to make the block, took around 3 hours. This block is different from many other tank jack blocks in that the metal straps are recessed into the wood. The wood block had to be recessed for this which I did on my mill as they had to be around .030" deep.

The block is secured by a single bolt and wing nut.

This type of block was also used on other AFV's with the same running gear and hull base as the Hetzer and maybe other AFV's.

I am not planning to put this in production as it is as the time spent milling the wood will make it to expensive.

But if you must have one you can contact me.

A simple version without the straps recessed could be made by photo-etching the straps at a reasonable price if there is enough demand.

Regards
Mike
