Hi fellas.

Been intending to post for a few weeks now but never got round to it till now . . . into new territory here as no tracks involved. Once things strarted to go together a good coat of etch primer was applied to all the parts.
Don't worry about the rusty axles in the background thats my model and its only light surface stuff
Looks a little better with the proper colours starting to go on... My customer has bought the Tim Catton add on parts which are excellent and highly recomended congratulations on a job well done Tim. Great idea of Tim's to leave the cover plates on the clear lenses loose, I just popped them off and stuck masking tape on the reverse side when its painted peel it off and you have a perfectly clear lense...top stuff.

Thanks for your comments most appreciated, I have now got the bogies nearly done only the cable drums still to fit.The recouperators are now fitted and working as well so nearly there.
No pics tonight cos I have locked the camera in the shed will try to get a few more on tomorrow night.

Well here we go a bit more progress on the 88. Got the basic camo on now "Varicose vain pattern" I think leave all this to dry now overnight and I will be able to start the chips and scratches. And a bit of a dirty muddy wash as well I think. I still have to find a suitable something to wind onto the cable drums . . .what's been used for this before please? Last picture for now till I get the next bits done. Hope you like it more to come.

Hi fellas.

Well been back in the shed again this week,and got a bit of weathering done on the gun itself. Rooting around in my old box of tricks from the custom bike days I found an old roll of pinstriping tape that came in really handy for the kill rings on the barrel, but looks like the crew have had more luck with planes than tanks I have only got to weather the bogies now and wind the cables on and this one can be put to one side ready for collection. Its been a fun build really and something different if anyone is listening a "pak 43" would be a nice model to have!! I think hint hint Mark .
Anyway thats it for today on with the bogies tomorrow I have an appointment today with Mr. Smiths John Smiths ha ha

Thats a top paint job you have done there, I realy like the subtle camo pattern you have done. The more i look at that 88 the more detail i see.

Steve, John and Tim thanks for your replies its good to get a bit of feedback . Tim I must say its great to have the opportunity to do, and have the enjoyment of doing these models for people . . . and I am very grateful for the trust placed in me to do it so a big thanks to all my customers.
So on with the bogies. As with the gun once I got the camo on its time to set to with chips and scratches. I decided to add the flag just a add a bit of colour and life to the model. . . one thing you can't take away from the swatika emblem is it adds a good spash of colour
This model is really getting down to the final bits now,hope you like it so far. Thanks for looking Cheers Paul

Nice job on the 88 as always! I can only echo what others are saying. Great job on the build and fantastic paint and weathering. I bet that would be fun to build these for others! Great way to get more models in the field!
