A friend of mine is starting work on a steel MG34 on my behalf. The features we have agreed are as follows.
- all chrome molybdenum steel construction
- Hardwood butt
-Interchangeable barrel sleeve from perforated AA to armoured hull. Hull will have no gun sights or perforations and is of a wider girth.
-Removable Butt for hull role
-Cocking action
-Top cover lift and ammo can/belt fitting.
-Metal belts/ammo
- Will fit both hull ball and cupola
Early barrel/sleeve test
If anyone would be interested please let me know

If any of you out there is interested in fully functional 1/6 replica's of weapons (except shooting) you might want to take a look at the site below. It's the site of Scott Rasmussen a gunsmith specializing in 1/6 (machine)guns. You can even strip hem down. Bring your wallet though and a lot of patience. A MP40 for example takes Scott about a year. It's jawdropping stuff.

Chambering a round - it makes a satisfying clack apparently. The final version will be finished much better than the pics show.

Thanks Martin. Maybe the fire option could be an optional extra

Fantastic work. I'd be very interested in buying one if you were offering these for sale.
