Hi Dan

I had Panther #15 arrive last week and am also a newbie to kits of this scale.

I have a Jeti DS16 system here and have asked the same question as to whether it is compatible or not.
Would love to know as it really is a quality transmitter/system and it would be a shame to sell it unless I really had to.

Hopefully one of the guys on here can give us some more information.

Hi,

I use the Jeti System since years in most of my models. Only my submarines run with an Graupner Mc-24 because of the 40MHz frequence.

All I can say about the Jeti System that it is a absolute reliable and flexible system. I also use the Unilog from „SM Modellbau“ in combination with Jeti to have a Datalogger and Sensorsytem. I do not use the Armortek Elektronic and do not know exactly if both Systems are compatible. But I know that the Armortek parts work with much more 2.4 GHz Systems. I am quite sure that it will work.

Regards

Sascha

How are you doing? I have one request. I have a problem with the Futaba T6K setting. I bought in 2017 motion and other packs (silver line) for my panzer III. According to the recommendation in the manual, I am bought a receiver and transmitter Futaba T6K. After connecting the transmitter and receiver to the motion pack nothing works properly. I think the problem is in the setting of the transmitter T6K. Could you please someone help me with the T6K settings, or send me the instructions for setting up that transmitter.

Thank you and regards

Lubomir

The T6K uses the Futaba S-FHSS and T-FHSS protocols, which are significantly faster than the standard 11ms frame rate of standard protocols, so it is likely to be incompatible with the 2017 modules.

Update: I see the later manual does show compatibility with the S-FHSS protocol.

Adrian.

Hi Adrian,
there is information in the manual for the motion pack:
main tested on T6K and T.FHSS protocol.
I will buy the receiver and transmitter as recommended in your manual! Do you have another recommendation for me please?

Hi Lubomir,

In the factory we tested the electronics with the following:
Futaba T6K Transmitter and R2006GS Receiver

As adrian said, Futaba uses some different protocols that can cause issues, so the receiver is important - it needs to be the R2006GS Receiver.

Our silver box electronics did not work with T-FHSS telemetry

Yes, I have set S-FHSS mode without telemetry. Even so, the problem persists with the Futaba T6K setup. I bought in 2017 the movement and other packages (silver series) for my panzer III. As recommended in the Armortek manual, I have purchased a Futaba T6K receiver and transmitter. After connecting the transmitter and receiver to the motion pack nothing works properly. The tracks are spinning against each other. I think the problem is in the settings of the T6K transmitter. Could someone please help me with the T6K setup, or send me instructions for setting up this transmitter.

Thank you and best regards

Lubomir

Hello,

I use a Graupner mz-24 hott transmitter with a GR-24 hott receiver in all my tanks from Armortek.
And this works with all the modules Armortek made, the silver and red ones.

Best regards Yves

Does this mean that Graupner MC-20 HoTT and / or MC-28 HoTT will also work with any GR HoTT receiver?

Hello, looking at radio and receivers for my recently received tiger 1 late Variant. Recommended was the FrSky taranis x9d plus se, and the receiver, FrSky X8R Receiver V2 ACCST.
I was gifted a FrSky TANDEM X20S and think will work for this tank but wanted your thoughts on it. Also the receiver that will pair with that unit if it will work. Any help or other suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Brian

Very nice gift!

I have the FrSky x20S and x20HD systems and I think they're good systems. I've used them for other models but not yet
with Armortek electronics. So far I've had no issues using FrSky systems with Armortek's equipment. The ETHOS OS
promises to be an extremely capable and flexible platform for our model work.

I recommend getting ETHOS Suite to maintain the x20s, if you haven't already. it's free although not yet as capable a tool as
OpenTx Companion is for OpenTx. ETHOS itself is not open software as is OpenTx, er9x or others.

I've read that Futaba or others has been using Windows CE in their newer systems. Not to slam anyone I've yet to see ported CE
applications yet to be as robust as they could be. Just the bias of an old enterprise (retired) MS, Unix and MVS developer grumbler...
