The stork delivered my first baby today and he was a "big" boy at a few hundred pounds!

I've seen so many wonderful projects on the forum that give so many ideas and inspiration. I've done quite a bit of smaller scale modeling in my younger years but now I'm about to wade into the deep end of the pool. Wish me luck!

Hi Geoff

The serial no of each kit is usually engraved on one of the hull sides. These will nearly always be in the largest box! I have checked and I believe that the kit you have purchased in no. 14.

Thanks for the encouraging words. I will be relying heavily upon the wealth of experience from you guys who have paved the road for the journey I will be taking.

Dale - I've just had time to take the arrival photos last evening and have not unpacked and checked the contents yet. I'll do that tonight after work and the first box to open will be the large one to get the hull number and then I'll share that here.

Thanks to Gill, I already know that a few parts are missing. The starter plate and the parts that complete the pannier (stowage bin on the turret) were removed prior to shipment and sent to Steve Winstone for his upgrades (Thanks Gill for your kind accomadations).

You will be pleased with the job Steve does on the turret bin but it's a pitty you did'nt see the basic part to get an idea of the effort put into transforming it. Best wishes with the build and if you get stuck there is lots of help here.

Hi Dale,

The production number is #58. It was actually written on the Armortek label on the outside of the big box. I noticed it as I was opening that box. However, I did take a look at the hull side just to be sure the number I saw was indeed the production number and it was.

John - I understand what you're saying, regarding the before and after turret bin. I have looked very closely at pictures of the basic part vs. pictures of Steve's finished work and there appears to be a sizable amount of transformation involved. It would have been nice to see the part beforehand but it seemed more expedient (and prudent) to have the part sent to Steve directly instead of making two trips back and forth across the pond. Thanks for the well wishes. I've been following your work closely and am very inspired by it. The interior details to your Tiger turret are incredible. I'm glad to have the examples that you and others have made available to us on the forum.
