Would Mark be able to provide a posting showing how the adjustable torsion bar suspension works in the new Late Tiger ?

Thanks

Adrian.

Hi All

Not the easiest of things to describe this, but here goes.

LATE TIGER 5MM X AXLE.JPG
LATE TIGER 5MM X AXLE.JPG (140.4 KiB) Viewed 1673 times

The axle, suspension arm and suspension shaft are unchanged. The torsion bar is supplied with flats pre-ground on each end. At the fixed end a short shaft, looking like the suspension shaft is fitted to the torsion bar and into a counterbore in the suspension bar on the other side. This fixed end shaft is secured by a single high tensile M6 cap head passing through the hull side and suspension bar and into the end of shaft. To adjust the angle of the suspension this single bolt is loosened, the angle adjusted, and the bolt retightened to lock into place. It works because the the twist load from the torsion bar acts to furrther tighten this single screw.

Hi Mark.

I like it! so assuming that in time your tank may, or could settle due to weight of batteries etc etc you can now simply losen the above mentioned bolt and re set your suspension any time?
Clever ans really simple what a good idea.
Cheers Paul
