hello all,
just a few pics of my revamped Sherman, added a few extra details like the sandbag armor, suspension arm sliders, also wooden suspension bogie mine protector, turret rear storage bin and redone tools and location plus a few extras you might spot on the drive train, also the faded olive drab paintwork and mud/dirt effect,
hope you like, if you would like to own this model or any off my others please contact me.

Chris

Another masterpiece, thanks for sharing. It's so rich in detail, you don't see it right away but I keep seeing more and more, like the fuel stains on the Jerry cans. Just fanatastic, a really quality professional job up there with the best. Got any more surprises?

Good to see you at Bath and West.

Stephen

Hello all and thank you for the comments, makes all the long hours building worth it, still have a few more details to add, you never stop adding things!!!!.

NICK, the duckbills are quite bendable as there made from quite thin metal in order to bend them to shape, but looking at pictures of the real ones many had been broken off or bent right over the tracks, with mine if they bend out of shape they are quite easy to bend back,

STEPHEN, good to see you also at shepton, i like surprises so keep watching????.

thanks again, Chris.

Hi Chris
thanks for your reply those duckbills must have taken some time to do but they look great and well worth it ,i looked at the pics again, its one of those models you just keep seeing more and more detail i wish i had the patience to do something like it ,one more question if you dont mind on the duck bills did you make a jig for them to get the shape or was it all done by hand .I think they are great ,,a lot of work :D but worth it . allthe best ,,,,,,,,,,,nick

hello nick,
i actually bought them from east coast Armour in the states, i got them around 4 years ago when i first bought the Sherman, they don't come pre drilled but its not a long job, i didn't have the equipment them but i could make them now, if you look or there web site you will see some pics of my Sherman how its was with the duckbills fitted,
regards, Chris.

What a wonderful job.I didn't think too much of Shermans until I saw your workmanship. I have now changed my opinion.

That Sherman, and the Comet before it, are master classes in detail and finish. :D :D

You've definitely got too much time on you hands
