machine gun mount

Has anyone else had the problem where the ball dosent fit into the glacier

it looks like it needs a 5mm spacer

Hi Dave,
I had the same problem when I built mine and had to return the glacis plate back to Mark at Armortek for him to re-machine it. Don't use a spacer as it won't look right, I think there might have been a problem with the machining and it wasn't done deep enough.

hi Dennis ,yes your right the recess hasnt been machined deep enough
unfortunatly i cannot send mine back without disturbing the work i have done
so i will try using a large csk bit .

Hi David,
Yes I remember your build now, I helped on the speaker clearance for the gun elevation motor. You don't notice the difference on the m/c gun mount.

Have a look at David Tannen's build photos page 1 April 20th 2010 and see what it looks like with a spacer.
