Hello all, while working on my static tiger 1 I developed the cooling fan / radiator cluster. I will be adding these parts to my catalog very soon. I now have 90% of the components complete and am now finishing up the last of the fittings and right hand side air breather radiator cover. Once complete this set will be added to the product line. Until then here is a sneak peak of the set.

One unique feature that this set will have is the the fans are full function and are electrically powered. This will give the model a nice detail element, and if the tank is RC the fans will help pump cool air into the vehicle.

John.
Great news that you are to produce a HL210 for the early Tigers but will you please also do a HL230 for the late Tiger 1, Tiger 2 and Panther.
Maybe a conversion set to go from a HL 210 to a HL 230 would be a possibility.

Steve

You guys might be interested in the videos from the Bovington Tank Musuem about Tiger 131's restoration. The lastest one shows how the they built new drives for the fans from copies of original German plans. The problem they had was the the fans are configured for the original HL 210 engine, but a HL 230 is now fitted. Have a look at

Steve, Because the model that I am working on is going to be an initial tiger I was only going to produce the HL 210, but after the wave of HL 230 requests that I have been receiving I will also tool up a HL 230. To save on time and supplies Both kits will share the same block, but will have different detail components.

Mick, thanks for the link it was very helpful in completing the last remaining masters. I was just on bovinton's youtube page yesterday so they must have just added this video.

All remaining masters now complete and are in molding. Tomorrow I will be able to cast the new parts, fully assemble the set and post it to the product line. Stay Tuned!

John.
Great news that you are going to produce both the HL210 and the HL230. I am sure that both these engines will be very good sellers as there are no decent models available at the moment.
Thanks for all the effort you are putting into producing your range of parts.
Regards
Steve

For the right hand side cluster the radiator fillet gap differs, On the right hand side the cap is in a recess, and is bolted on to the cover. The pressure release tube is also located on this cap. All of these features are built into this set.

I was able to complete the set and it ready for my model.

John,
Fantastic work on the cooling fans. I never cease to be amazed by your work, so fast too. Really great looking accessory and functional too - best of both worlds. The painted version looks real. Keep up the great work.
Best regards,
Bob

Thanks Guys, I had a lot of fun designing and tooling up the fan work. I added a video up on youtube that shows the fans in operation.

I also have some progress on the engine, so far I have the basic shape of the crank case and I'm working on the head gasket. As soon as the parts are further developed I will post some pics.
