Has anyone bought "Der Panzer VI Tiger und seine Abarten" by Walter Speilberger ?

I found it after following a recommendation from the Pz IV forum and wonder how good it would be as a reference for the Tiger.

It's in German but I understand the Pz IV one has a lot of good diagrams.

Adrian.

Hi Adrian. I posted re the panzer IV book. I would be interested to hear an thing on this also. The panzer IV was certainly worth it.

By Walter J Spielberger and Hilary L.Doyle.

One on the Panther also.

Hi Adrian ,John

I have both books(both in German) and would recommend them both the information in both is fantastic.
There is another book I think it is modelling the tiger it is in 1/35 scale highly recommended but very hard to come by.
If you require advice on books try Russell of Barbarossa books

i have just received a copy of Tigers In Normandy by Wolfgang Schneider printed by Stackpole Books via amazon
It appears from first glance to be very good plenty of pictures and for instance it goes into great detail with maps and street plans the battle at Villers Bocage for starters. There are other battlefield encounters mentioned in the book.; seems good value for the price i paid.
My only quibble is the quality of the pictures is at times a little muzzy but thats down to the quality of the actual print and not the quality of the paper used in the book which is
top notch.
