Hi John
On the description board, at the front of the tank, it says D/H.
Those who know about German tank will tell you more!

Hi John, I saw the notice board to. Just waiting on some panzer IV books to arrive so still know little about them. Possibly a D with H turret shurzen? I notice at also has the ariel that Stephen White reproduced on his Panzer IV. I do'nt fancy trying to make one of those. I think the Panzer IV will be an interesting build. Looking forward to seeing some innovative work.

Hi all,
That Bovington Panzer IV is a battlefield’s survivor leaving the factory as an Ausf D and staying alive to be upgraded with the latest developments for an Ausf E, F, G and finally early H until it was captured.
Kind regards
Kent

John,
Thanks for excellent P4 photos! Great details! Am I seeing things or does it have extra armor around the suspension bogeys? It looks like an extra plate was added. Maybe a battlefield patch or post war fix? Also interesting is the additional hull superstructure side armor and the additional front armor, added to the already "added" front armor. Ballistically I suppose all that added "spaced" front armor would be somewhat effective against shaped charge warheads. Very unusual details!
Perhaps Kent can add more about the history of the vehicle! Are these original war time add ons? Or post war P4 build from parts?
Bob
