While i was at Tankfest Itook the opportunity to take some (a lot ) of photos of their Sherman Firefly.

John,
Great reference photos of the Bovi 'fly. I never knew the shell ejection port door on the turret was welded shut on fireflys like the hull mg position. Great walk around photos.

Can't wait to see more firefly's being built on the forum.

I still have many more photos of the Firefly.
I will load a few more onto the forum.

You must have a pretty decent lens on your camera to get those detail shots from the walkway :shock:

Looking at the fasteners holding the sprockets rings on in that last photo, I can't help but feel they have been manufactured as a weak link, so that the sprocket will break apart without damaging the centre hub or the sprocket rings.

I can't see any other reason for drilling out the heads of the retaining bolts like that.

Great pics you took there, I took some a few weeks ago but couldnt get a close up of the 50 cal mount which you have taken, Thanks its just what I was after.
