Hello to all,
today i have a day off, so i started to "make" the wiring on a board.
And now i have ??
Befor i blow some sensetiv parts into the sky.
Here is a overview.

Image

1st. can i put this littel plug from the PCB Box direct into the reciever?
Or must i connect it to the 4.8V bat whit the switch.?
And the Bendini plug must go into 1st or 2nd plug from the PCB Box?

Image

May i can find it out by myself but why are one of them unplugt?

Thanks in advance

This is so helpfull. I am useless with electronics and am just about at the point where I have to start. Same set up as yours. Hopefully more to come.

Hope everything works first time for you. Hope you get your questions answered.

I have started to look at wiring.
The receiver plug with the disconnected wires? Wires must have been pulled out, Mine are connected to plug. So just plug in.

relay switch 48b-2w for turret to chanell 6.

Firing unit relay switch 48b-2w to chanell 5

FR12 speed controller turret rotation to chanel 1

I guess the benedini can be connected to eithe of the 5amp connectors. I presume they are just power supplies so does it matter? I presume the power distribution loom connects to the other 5 amp connector.

Hi John and Georg

I have been waiting for Mark to say something before I post. Like you John, I am electronically challenged and with the "I'm not an expert" disclaimer, here's what worked on the Panther.

1-Yes, the motor wires can be flipped if motor direction is reversed. OR, you can also reverse the radio transmitter stick. Takes two seconds to switch the wires if needed.

2-4QD connections to Benedini sound card is correct.(Blue on top as you have it)

This is how my Panther is wired and all functions well. My MG and crew movement are on their own power and function independently from everything else, on their own controller.

Hope that helps somewhat

Thanks Tim,
I'm sure Mark is busy with 3 new models on the go at once. I have my batteries charged up and will give it a go at the weekend. The photos will be a great help. I have ordered a set of the bump stops you designed and will fit all the electronics once they are fitted.
Fingers crossed that the bench testing goes well,

Regards,
John

Well hooked everything up. Have engine start up. Motors driving in the right direction and stick control is good. Right stick is rotating turret motor but I think in the wrong direction. I do not have elevation control. Is this supposed to be through the rotary knob? Chanel 5 is reassigned to 3 position switch. Pressed the benedini programing button and played the available sounds. Lights flashing. Reset everything. Start up is good. Engine running sounds good.

I have centring springs fitted to both toggle levers. work well. I might try switch to one stick control

Elevation sorted. Red connectors on limit switches in wrong place. Now working.

I will probably fit the encoder at some later stage. If you fit the encoder and use the rotary switch for sound what controls elevation.

How do I play the other sounds.
Also where do I plug in MG LED?
Not terribly interested in crew chatter or horn.
Mainly MG sounds. Gun and mg sound a little feeble. Maybe better played as continous sound. Thank god for optional blank firer.

Thanks again Tim.

Have worked how to get sounds played back and they all work.
If you fit the encoder where do you transfer elevation?

Almost sorted. Have Steve winstons mg working nicely also.

I will sort out smoker another time.

How do you connect Steves head light and convoy light?

Hi John

You can use which ever spare channel of the 2 main sticks to control elevation. It depends whether you are using 1 or 2 stick for track control. If you use 1 stick driving. you can use the other up/down stick for elevation.

If you want to know how to fit the decoder, have a look at http://www.armortek.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1716

Hope this helps

Hi John

Glad you have most everything working. For lights, I use a separate switch with its own battery(in my case a 9v). The electronic switch is controlled with one of your two-position toggle switches on the upper left side of your transmitter(ch 6 maybe?) I forget.

Here's the switch I use for all my tanks.

All the best

Thanks Mick for the Link to the encoder fitting instructions. I had found it before but good to have it here. It will be so much better than the 3 way switch.

Thanks Tim for all your help. Always nervous with wiring. Getting closer to the dreaded Zimmerit.

I will probably upgrade the bendini amp and speakers when I get some spare cash.
