Fresh Blood

Post by steve haddrell »

Hi there everyone, yet another new member leaves his faculties behind and joins the madness. Steve's the name and a proud owner of the fantastic Tiger Late - construction completed and UPOL 8 applied.

I noticed on the forum that there is a contest for the longest time to complete a model - and its a topic that seems to run and run.

I think I should enter the 'Bulding a Tiger in the Smallest Space Award' as I have built mine in a shed measuring 8' x 5'! Sure was an exercise in Ergonomics and brute strength! Having a lifting platform with a turntable on it made it possible, but only just!

Does anyone live in the Gloucestershire area and fancy meeting up. I also have 1/2 acre of ground that is currntly being landscaped which provides a fantastic proving ground if anyones interested.

Hello Steve,

Congratulations on your purchase and welcome to the Forum. I have an Armortek Panther which I am currently building (very slowly) and two other 1/6th beasts. I live in Swindon which is not too far away and would love to come and play some day. I was trying to get access to a local Model Offroad Car Racing Circuit here in Swindon but only a few from the Tank Club showed any interest.
Mind you I am not surprised since it is in Swindon.

All the best.

Willy
