Jagdtiger breech block

Post by Paul Morris »

Hi fellas.

I am trying to find with not much luck so far a decent perhaps exploded view drawing of the Jagdtiger breech block particularly the sliding block / ejection lever, I have a blurry picture that seems to show it fitting into two slots on the right hand side of the breech?
I already have the technical and operational histories from Devey and the heavy Jagdpanzer recomended by Per, thanks again.

Any help would be most appreciated.
Thanks Paul

Hi Paul

Here's one of Bovingtons Jagdtiger. Not sure if it shows what you need, but if you want a full size copy, I can email it to you.

Hi Paul,

Panzerwrecks 6 ,pp 28 and 29. Bit grainy but they are pukka "Exploded" views. :)

Also "Tigers 1 and II and their Variants" Spielberger/Doyle, pp 156-159 and Appendix K

Worth writing to the TM as the may have unpublished photos taken of the JT interior. Their fees for 10x8 photo prints are quite reasonable and you are supporting a good cause too.

cheers, Fabrice
