Late Tiger Gun Barrel Assembly/Blank Firing Option Pack

Post by Christopher Hodgkinson »

I am assembling the Blank Firing Option Pack and have found the steel threaded steel Gun Tube to be VERY tight into the alloy threaded gun barrel and Mag Bracket. Have tried using Carborundum paste to try cutting a way through the threads but to no avail. Anybody experienced the same; if so any solution ? I don't want to distress or strip threads ! [/b]

Threads on mine not perfect either. Have not tried to fix yet as I have a long way to go before I get to that stage.

May I suggest that you give Mark a ring for advice. I believe that the threads have been made specifically tight to comply with the UK firearms regulations and to prevent any foreign bodies being inserted into the barrel. I had the same problem with one of the first systems sold and Marks advice sorted out the problem for me. It is an easy fix.

Hi Chris

The thread is M22*1.5. It is intentionally designed and manufactured to be a very tight fit. You can ease it a little by filing the outside diameter of the gun tube. Use plenty of WD40 upon assembly. You should not attempt to recut the threads.

Hope this helps.
