Hi, can anyone recommend the best place to get a battery charger, and what type is best. what sort of price are we looking at.

Hi Richard
everyone has their own prefference,but the one that i use and was
reccomended on the Forum is the Accumate Pro 12/24 volt
charger.
Its automatic good quallity robust and comes with a charging lead for permanent connection to your battery set up.
Mine cost £108.21 delivered including vat at 17.5% on 30 04 2010

Thats a better price John I like the extension lead they show aswell for £5.99,might come in handy.

Hello Richard, I followed Forum advice and went for the Accumate Pro....expensive....yes.

Easy to use and you can leave it on charge.

However, the Tamiya type connector is fitted opposite, to normal Tamiya type fittings. Square negative, half round positive, this is how they leave the factory.
So, if you go for Accumate, check the positive side. The guy at Accumate said the lead wire with the 'ribbing' is always positive on their chargers.
The all weather flying lead is clearly marked red/black...positive/negative so no problem there...mick
