I have collected many books and images of Tigers. While I have focused mostly on western front Tigers, I have collected only one image where I see the rings painted onto barrel this is my "Tiger I early No. S04 Wittman & crew w barrel.jpg", apparently at the Russian front. That image shows white rings narrow and wide with numbers in between some rings. Later images (Western Front) show no rings on his tanks or on those of other SS Pz Tigers.
From other images I recall seeing it appears there were differences of width, of color schemes, even what period of the war and what areas of fighting these appeared on any particular tank. I sense that later in the war (certainly by June 44) crews were less boastful and more concerned with maintaining good camouflage.
My guess is you will do best to pick a particular Tiger to model (what front, period of war, which tank battalion, etc.) and study images that may show that Tiger.

kill rings
Hello,
Thanks Martin for the replay, i'am not taking a nr from a certain tiger1. I'am gonna take a random nr 223 and it's a early model,
and i gonna use the totenkopf markings.
So i'am gonna look further on the net for the kill rings, maybe i will find something if i look at the 88 flak.
best regards Yves
