I've just been test fitting the turret spare track holders onto my 2010 tiger turret . Can someone who has fitted them ! tell me how they hold the track links on without them falling off ..Dale

I put the turret trackholders and the spare tracks with
a two component epoxi resin on the turret.
The epoxi is from Bizon and is transparant epoxi and it comes in a syringe. You have to mix the epoxi for about 2 minutes.

I know several others have drilled and tapped the links so they can be fastened from the inside of the turret. (fasteners are hidden behind the link of course).

Thanks everyone . It's a hard to know what to do . I'm not that keen on drilling seven holes in the turret . We don't wont them falling off all the time , in most photos of tigers with track hangers you don't see to many photos without spare links on the turret . Some times it nice to remove things from our models to give them a different look ...

The method i used to attach the links on my last Tiger was to drill a very small verticle hole in the upper link holder were it touches the link and a coresponding hole in the end of each spare track link, Next i glued a short length of brass rod into the hole in the track link holder so that it protrudes about 3/16" below the link holder. If you get the length right you can still remove the links by hinging the holder up and when hinged down the rod is not visable.
Sorry i dont have any photos as it would be much easier to explain.

I was doing some work on the turret this evening and tried Steves method.
Just realized I glued the brass pin into the top of the track instead of the track hanger. It will work better the other way round. Will re do tomorrow.

This is my interpretation of Steve's method. Thet seem quite secure.





Still in connection with tracks. The far left hand track is not positioned evenly with the other four. The holes on top do not correspond with bottom. Should all five be positioned evenly?
