Actually Guys,

I have to say that I have seen a 1/6th scale Elefant in a collection of a fellow I visisted. The unit was metal and made by a German firm. Sorry, I did not get more details - I am not big on this particular target subject; but, there are quite a few folks like you that are. It is a very good suggestion.

Also, I would like to say that your's looks great and I can very well understand the 1/16th or any collector's desire to have this model. I have had the opportunity to see it as well and have to say it is/was extrodinary, especially for its manufacture timeframe.

Best Wishes and Happy Holidays!

I have one of those mint in box. I paid so much for it, I can't bring myself to build it! lol I'd also like to see Armortek make their own version. You know its bound to happen eventually ;-)

Tom.
If you have a mint boxed one, Wait until Armortek produce one and ebay yours. (It would pay a good percentage of the Armortek purchase price).

Steve, unfortunately I can not take that route as I have been bitten by the collector's bug and must have one of everything! I thought collecting tanks would be easy but it has proven a challenge as there are really hundreds of different R/C tanks out there. A specimen of each will go in Tom's RC Tank Museum one day. The Armortek King Tiger is of course the pinnacle of my collection so far. It is the 2nd most expensive toy I have acquired :)

Tom

Armorteks next tank - a heavy armoured car please!!

Just thought I would throw another cat amongst the many armoured pigeons so far suggested  :!:

Since having Heer Sellers build me the hottest Frau magnet the world of armoured cars has yet seen  I am well and truely hooked on armoured cars in 1/6th scale...so...on the subject of wheeled armour...

AEC Mk III (British) Heavy Armoured Car, with the 75mm M3 gun mounted in the Valentine tank turret - virtually a wheeled tank, very popular vehicle with it`s crews, and used to great effect in hit and run raids, especially against the DAK in North Africa.

I`m sure using this model of the AEC it would be possible to offer it with the blank firing option as used in the 1/6th tanks :?: as Armortek have already done a Sherman with the 75mm M3 gun

Also, like the 222, the AEC Mk III had four wheel drive and four wheel steering, so once again Amortek have the knowledge and experience with this type of vehicle

Until we meet again, don`t know where, don`t know when...

Woof!!! Woof!!! That`s my other dog impression...
