hi all
ive been counter sinking the srews on my 222's body today.
my question is what type of filler should i use to cover the srews?? would millipt be ok?? as im going to use this for the weld marks.

Hi Sean,
Miliiput will work fine for filling screw holes and for creating welds. It requires hand kneading and mixing but its nice that it can be rolled into fine rope before application. I like that it is water soluble until it hardens.

Others use auto body putty or other hobby putty. You can even use epoxy but it will be quite permanent.

thanks for the info, i will use the milliput to cover over the srews, what the best tool to create the weld marks

Hi Sean,
I use a small piece of alum or brass tubing to create the weld semi circular fillet shape. An inexpensive acid brush with alum tube handle found at most hardware stores works well. You just have to flatten the handle a bit to get the fillet the right size. You can bend a tool from any small piece of sheet brass, alum, tin etc. The tool tip just needs the shape of ---> )
