hi all
got the motion pack today, made a start and have allready come across a few problem.
1/ the lay shaft is to short to go through the bearings thus not allowing me to fit the end cap without crushing the bearing.
2/ the end cap is to thick thus not allowing the motor spacer to sit flush on the mount.
any input would be gladly welcome, more concerned about the lay shaft issue.
cheers sean

Hi Sean
Sounds like you have not got the bearings fully into the housing. Remember you are one of the last to get this option pack, so its kind of unlikely to be a design or manufacturing fault, that no one has spotted before.

hi mark
both bearings are fully in, but since then i have noticed that both bearings are not allined, so when the lay shaft is in the bearings it is at a slight angle and that means the idle gear is also at an angle. which then means once the motor is added the two gears dont mesh up properly causing both gears to beacome very stiff.
the lay shaft do not pass through the rear bearing which means i cant fix the end cap
i hope this makes sence, i will have another look but i tried for 2hrs today fitting and refitting
cheers sean

A picture is worth a thousand words
And might make it easier for us to see where the problem lies

hi all
i think the problem is the main motor mount itself, where the bearing holes are not allined causing the lay shaft to be at an angle? also you can see the lay shift inside the rear bearing and not comming all the way through not allowing the end cap to be fitted.
all the above affects the main motor when fitted causing both gears to be very stiff or not turn at all

Hello Sean
This seems to be duplication of what you have sent us by e-mail. I have already looked at these pictures. Please send the parts back to us so that we can correct any manufacturing or assembly problems.

Hi Sean.
The instructions say :-
"The leads from the controller are coloured blue and yellow and are pre fitted with push together electrical connectors. These are handed so that they will only connect the correct way round"
Is this not the case ?
Adrian.

Sorry, I thought that line in the manual meant that the blue would only mate with the red, or black, depending on the connectors.
To be honest, it doesn't matter which way they are connected, as it won't damage anything. It will just mean that the 222 goes backwards when you push the transmitter stick forwards.
If that happens, you swap the cables over
Adrian.
