Well that is two and you are just down the road from me (my mother in law lives in Redlands).

Let me know what you decide to do about a paint source.

Regards

Hi David,
I too have started my winter project and am looking for a good metal cleaner and paint source. I am leaning towards an automotive supplier as I used to own a body shop and used PPG products with excellent results.

I am interested in other thoughts about this subject.

Hello Peter, having made a complete mess of my first painting attempt, I finally achieved a very satisfactory result.

I used a U-pol acid etch primer, and an aerosol paint....HI Build Vinyl BS381c-298 British Olive Drab made up by an automotive paint supplier, in 400ml aerosol cans....mick

Thanks Robert,

I think I will try Zinc Chromate for my primer. I've had good luck with it in airplanes, We'll see how it goes.

Having the paint mixed to your specs is spot on. Thanks for waking me up.
