Customer Open Days 2010 – Saturday and Sunday 18th/19th Se
Posted: Wed Aug 25, 2010 1:18 pm
This year we will be opening the factory to all customers and a guest for two days, Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th September.
As always we hope to see as many of you as possible over the weekend with your Armortek models.
We will be open on both days from 10 am.
On both days we will have our new CNC lathe running a demonstration programme, we will have our usual variety of items for sale, including kit parts and material in 'bargain buckets'. We will have some kits and or models for sale by sealed bid auction. A fun competition or two! An area will be provided where individuals can advertise and buy and sell Armortek models and accessories. ( A real life 'For Sale and Wants section').
Traders joining us will include, Lee Sellars of Newthorpe Models, Steve Winstone, Dave Dibb of Armorpax and hopefully Russell from Barbarossa Books and Tim Catton (to be confirmed).
On Saturday we will be joined by Thomas Benedini who will give a talk on his range of products and together with Mark will be able to answer questions on the sound system provided in your Armortek model. We will also have the model competition on this day with a variety of classes including the best in show for which this year the prize will be a flight over the Devon countryside and Jurassic coast in a Tiger Moth. (To be taken on the day, weather dependant)
On Sunday morning, Lee Sellars will be giving a workshop/talk on spray painting your models. He will be bringing a range of airbrushes and will be giving you the chance to have a go.
The sucessful bids for the auctions will be announced at about midday on the Sunday.
On Saturday morning and afternoon tea/coffee and cake will be provided, and at lunch time Pork Baps (or veggie burger) this is FOC to Armortek customers and available to purchase by guests.
On Sunday morning, tea and coffee will be available and then at lunch time we are recommending that you visit the Dunkeswell Air Centre across the road ( a few minutes walk away) where they do an excellent and very reasonable Sunday carvery. Advance booking is essential as they are always very busy, please call them directly on 01404 891226.
We appreciate many of you will be needing to make your way home on Sunday afternoon however we will remain open for the rest of the day for those who wish to stay for a little extra tank driving, and a chat over a tea or coffee.
In order that we can plan the weekend as well as possible please can you let us have the following information.
