I was wondering what fasteners fit the hatch hooks? I measure 3M x 10mm Pins. This hook hooks onto the side rear covers.
I did not see this detail in the book.So I wonder what other builders used.

I see that no one's replied to your message, and like you, I was waiting for some knowledgeable person to reply.

While you've been waiting, have you found the answer yourself?

I'm not starting my build properly until October this year, but I couldn't resist loosely bolting the hull together and then started playing about with the rear deck, and like you, I couldn't find any fastenings (bolts or pins) for the hatch hooks.

Hello Dan

I used 3mm brass for the pins,you bow the pins a little in the middle an than you used a little hamer to put the pin in the holes,
so the pin fit in and dont come out. If you use loctitte becareful that you dont glue the hooks

Hi Dan & thanks Yves for the pin idea,

Now that I've started my build, I've been checking out some books, and it looks as if these hooks are bolted through with a castlated nut on the real thing.

I know a few 1/6 suppliers are selling the castlated nuts and finding an M3 bolt shouldn't present a problem.

I think that the 3M*10 pins are for the front mudguards.

That's the money shot. In all the pictures and illustrations I've seen they never show you the head of the bolt, which looks more like a pin with a threaded end, and makes perfect sense.

I'm trying to rearrange work so I can drop into Bovington and get as many pictures of their Tiger 1 as I can, especially around the rear deck. I desperately want to look at all the fixings and the heights of the air grills to the engine hatches etc.
