suspension angle

Hello tiger fans,
Can somebody tell me the angle of the suspension, is it like in the manual 35 degrees? Because wen i visit Armortek in may they say to me that the angle must be 45 degrees?

i saw already that topic and i know how to line up the suspension,
but is the angle 35-45 degrees ,maybe something in between?

Hello Yves . You are doing a great job so far , good to see you have sanded and cleaned all your hull plates and filled the holes early in your build . The best angle is 35 o I make the last two 37o just to allow for the weight of the batterys 45o is way to high forget about that height ...Dale

Thanks for your advice,but is it relevant to put the two last suspension arms on both sides on 37 degrees, because i saw somewhere on the forum that the weight of the batterys dont have a influance on the axels?

Hello again yves . 2 o is not that much any way , it's best to have it there , then being 1 or 2 o to low . I did the last three on my King king ..

I see in another thread your Tiger I's weight was 123kg. For that tank, did you set the suspension at 35 degrees?

Good pick up Simon . My early tiger with motion and sound and batterys Did weigh in at 123 KG which I was very happy about because I shipped it over seas . I thought it was going to be around 140KG because when Gill shipped it to me the shipping weight was 130 KG . Simon when I built my tiger Vince Abbott and all the other top modellers worked out that 33o was the best angle which it was , My tiger was a bit low in the tail so I made the last two angled at 35o . Thanks for the info. I have No. 040 and am trying to gather as much info as possible, not having built anything like this before. I've noticed that the different finished models seem to have a variety of ride heights. I guess this is down to varying suspension angles and weight. Interestingly you say your Tiger I's shipped weight was 130kg, and it finally weighed 123kg. Unless Gill also shipped the batteries in that 130kg you lost considerably more than 7kg. Where do you think the weight went, or did I miss something?

Simon I replaced all the steel plates to alloy . Just like our new Mid tigers . Plus I left off the mud guards and the very heavy cast fitting which came with the older kits .... Dale
