A simple question please. What is the purpose of the three turret bosses? Two apppear to be "bump stops" for the rear cover and hatch lid respectively but the third? Also which way up are they mounted, with the larger bore upwards perhaps for taking a rubber stop on the originals??? I asume also they are glued not screwed?
Thanks Martin

Hi Martin.
From what you have said I think you are talking about the three "Pilsen" that were fitted to the roof to accept a tripod crane with a swinging arm that was used by crew and repair staff to remove the heavy engine hatches etc to aid replacement of the engine...and other heavy items.

Thanks for the clear drawing Brown.
I wonder where this crane stored while not in using? Maybe it's not the standard OVM, and only equipped in the service unit?

Hi Brown.
Thats a good picture, and exactly what I was explaining to Martin seems a long time since I made those for a few Tiger customers.

Hi Paul,
Maybe worth making some more if you get the orders, it would come in handy for both my Tigers

Maybe a stupid question but did all Tiger II's carry the jig and crane with them or were they carried by the auxilary vehicles that would accompany a group of Tigers

Hi Ant.
As far as I am aware ... the latter part of your post is correct carried on auxilery trucks etc but ... I could be wrong quite often I am lol.
