Futaba 7c programing

To all,
I'm wondering if anyone has done a step by step for programing the Futaba 7c for right joystick track control and left joystick turret/gun elevation control? I've looked but can not find it in the forums?
Any help would be appreciated

I have just bench tested my KT motion pack without the sound ,all's good just one question?? as I'm hopeless with radio gear right stick when push forward the motor runs backwards do I just reverse this channel on the set which i think is channel 3 I have the new futaba 7c ... Thanks Dale

sorry to hijack the thread but my query concerns the 7C Futaba
transmitter.

i have bench tested the functioning of the motors and sound sytem for mid tiger.
the motors do what the tin states.
the sound system goes through the repetoire of sounds after pressing the button. BUT i cant get any engine sound after starting up the unit again.
I note the inhouse manual (amp unit) states follow Futabas instructions to allocate channel 5 to I presume switch E (3 way switch) BUT where in the manual do i look or how do i attempt to verify this fact.
complete novice regards programmable RC equipment

thanks will look a little deeper.

but i took a plunge and using page 22 of manual as a template managed to navigate to PARAMETERS.
then looking at page 28 got channel 5 and using rotary button
got E .
the pressed END .

BINGO on start up motors rev , go to idle and switch off with movement of switch E

Not got other sounds YET but basically the bench testing of modules has shown that all seems to function as expected.

My question four up from this post about one motor going backward well I just reverse the blue and yellow lead on the motor is this OK to do ??? Dale

Were can I find page two? Since some already have done this exercise it's a bit waste of time to discover the wheel again. I just switched to this new transmitter, but didn't got it from Armortek, so perhaps my book has different content on page two Would be nice if someone can point me in the right direction, including one stick driving. If there is something on setting up the Benedini sounds that would be helpful too,

I'm interested in this also but am clueless with regard to setting it up. Also I have not got the latest motion pack. Have the one that came with late Tiger. Is right stick control possible with this? Where can I get details of operating tank with futaba as the instructions I have just seem to relate to planes and helicopters. I have sorted the spring centring on the left stick.

I believe Jeff meant page two of this thread, rather than the manual, though it seems to me the relevant information is actually on page one. Anyhow, this is the thread:

John, if you have the earlier setup, using 4QD controllers and the DMR203 interface box, there is a jumper inside the DMR which allows for single stick operation without having to program the transmitter. The manual can be downloaded here:

The bit about the jumper states:

2.2 Steer Mode Jumper

Linked TANK mode
Removed MIXED mode

The interface can operate in both "Mixed" and "Dual Independent" or "Tank" style steering mode.

In "Mixed" mode, a sum and difference calculation is performed on Forward/Reverse and left/Right signals to produce the desired steering behaviour commonly used in Robotics applications. When the Left/Right stick is fully displaced but the Forward/Reverse stick is at centre, the output will cause the vehicle to spin on the spot. At full Forward/Reverse one of the motor speeds is slightly reduced on steering to steer the vehicle.

"Tank" style steering mode configures the unit to behave like two single channel interfaces. This not only facilitates the "tank" style steering configuration but also allows the unit to be used in other applications such as a 2-channel 3-State radio controlled switch, or for auxiliary motors.

For single stick mode, you need the jumper removed.

Thanks Adrian, I will have a look and see which motion pack I have when I get back from holidays. I'm used to 1/16 controls but would like to try both.

I have the Benedini sound unit for the Tiger. Is it possible to customise the sounds. One of the systems I use for 1/16 has it's sound samples on a mini SD card and you can add to or alter the sound samples. I have not opened the container for the sound board yet.

The standard Benedini TBS5 is not reprogrammable, as the sounds are stored in a surface mount ROM chip on the board.

Thomas did say at the Open Day that he is developing a programmable version, and will make the sounds available on his web site.

He does a smaller programmable sound board but at present I don't beleive the tank sound files are available for it. You could of course upload your own using his programming software.
