Is it possible to make these out of 3mm Whale grade Tufnol. You can buy a piece 300 x 300 for about £4. Would it be strong enough for the ring gear? As it is slippery it should be suitable for the bearing?

Hello Graham . I have just had a look at your latest gallery photos . I'm speechless , you are going to have one very special machine when you are finnished . You could just blend in with Mark and Gill at armortek and they would not even know you where there !!! Dale.

Graham,
I'm with Dale on this, a very ambitious project which is clearly going well. How are you going to make the tracks?
Armortek were going to re-release the PIV but then demand for the Panther took over and the project was shelved. I was going to get one but in the end went for the Sherman.

Managed to buy the castings off Armortek as I could see this would pose a big problem if I tried to make the myself.
