It was published a new book, a new edition in the engine book publishing house, "Panzer VI Tiger and its varieties" by Walter J. Spielberger and Hilary L. Doyle. It is the best technique book I have ever seen. All components of the Tigers are illustrated with sectional drawings. Cannon, chassis, transmissions, steering gears, engine, heater, gear, and much more represented on the inside. Furthermore, many images from the Henschel Producktion halls.
The same book is also about the panther. Highly recommended for all who want to learn more about the technical solutions. And it costs only 20 € at Amazon. Its a fantastic Book !!

hi i found the book on Amazon

BUT a query the title is mainly in German so would i be correct
in thinking that the text is also in German OR is it one of those multi lingual books - German on one side English on the other.

Also i note that Doyle is a co author .
His other books 3+ with Jenz regards Tiger 1 +2 must have covered nearly all there is on the subject- my bookshelves are groaning with all this info to hand

I forgot this: The book is in german only.

Given the worldwide popularity of the Tiger, I would imagine (and hope) that an English language version will be available in the future.

Until then we'll just have to pester you for details Holger
