Neil, it's good to see another of these half tracks escaping from its box
While they sold well, they seem to have disappeared off the radar.

Hi Jeffrey, Tim and Adrian,
Thanks for the kind words, I have only had the kit a couple of months, missed out when they were launched, so had to wait a while, for one to be put up for sale. Will post more pictures soon, fitting tracks and running gear this week.

Hi Neil, dont forget to grind the ends of the split pin down, they are just a shade too long and will snag your running gear if left, nice build keep the pics coming.
cheers.

Hi Clive.
Yes split link ends filed down, after reading Volker's posting (first test run) and Mark's reply. Thanks for the info. Neil

Nice work Neil.
Every time I see those lovely WD pattern wheels, I can't help thinking "Why don't they make a Greyhound or M20". After all the German armour fans have both the SdKfz 222 AND SdKfz 7 to play with!
Lots of common parts with other Allied vehicles, eg, lights, periscopes, MG ring, tie-downs, tools etc etc etc.
Bovington even has a nice example waiting to be measured up for Solidworks..
How about it Mark?
cheers, Fabrice

The M2 has a battery box that sits on the side by the door.
This is what is supplied.

I wanted a functional one so spoke to Steve Winstone. This is the work of art he came up with.

Even has a little magnet to keep it closed.
I also wanted some working wing nuts. Before I knew about Steve's work, I bought some from a well known supplier in the States. They were supposed to be threaded, many of them were not. I e-mailed him, never had the courtesy of replying. (Same guy didn't respond when I told him about the damaged chequer plate

)
Here are the ones I got from Steve, fully threaded and fit nicely.
