More Comets at Bovington Photos

Hi, I made a trip a couple of weekends ago and took more photos which Photobucket has only just allowed me to upload, I don't know why except it does involve a computer.....!

The first set is of the Comet in their Workshop which has been fettled to be a Mk1a. The chequered rectangle is a magnetic card which is marked in 1cm squares to hopefully give some scale.

The second set are some more of the Mk1b on display in the museum proper, these are in addition to my previous posting.

I love the fact that British tanks are greener than their German counterparts. It is the forethought of equiping them with 'two bird boxes, for the use of', that makes one proud to be from these shores!

If any one wants copies of the original files please let me know.
I shall be going to the SW Model Engineering Show, so could pass them on there?

Steve

PS Congratulations to Lisa and Ritchie, and may Findlay give them much joy and happiness!

Thanks for the photos Steve - I would certainly be interested in a set of the originals.

How did you get to see the one in the workshop :?:

I went through there as part of an "Access All Areas" tour but our time in the sheds was quite limited.

Adrian.

Hi All
Paul Fairlamb gave me the inspiration to stop off on the way to Suffolk and take some more photos which I have now loaded on to Photobucket.

They are a mixture of both tanks. My chequered 1 cm squared rectangle has been included to give scale.

If any one wants hard copies then I can send CDs if you let me know.

Steve
