Anyone out there in the UK know the best place to get ramps to load tank on to car. I have looked on the web and a 2 metre wheelchair one is about £75 is that the cheapest or has anyone made up a set of their own or know of cheaper sets.
I have Hyundai Tucson which is a 4 x 4 and hoping 2 metre will be enough.

Most of our group have a set of home made ramps each easiest method I have found is to buy one 12 foot scaffolding board from a builders merchants, take it home and cut it in half then all you need is some form of rubber matting to cover the bumper area of your vehicle and lay the ramps on befor loading up...in wet conditions you may find its a good idea to put some sort of rubber pads on the ramps for grip or perhaps even some none slip surface paint the type you see on boat decks, wheel chair ramps look the part but are not really needed in my opinion.

I use a pair of ATV ramps which I bought from eBay for around £80.

If you go this route, you need to be careful about the height of the lip on each side of the ramp, as some of the Armortek models could ground on them in the lip is too high.

A small lip is handy to prevent the tank sliding off. I have found that if the Sherman loses traction on one side unexpectedly, it rapidly swivels around that track - something which certainly tones the buttock muscles

As to getting it into the car - have a look in my gallery for a picture showing the climbing ability of the Sherman, which probably has less grip from its tracks than the axis models
