Hi All,

I have just completed and fitted all the tracks for my halftrack, and then I pushed it backwards and forwards, but I noticed that when I pushed it backwards the tracks jammed. I have checked everything I can think of, i.e. tracks too loose or too tight, that sort of thing, but I can’t see any reason for this. Has this happened to any one else?

Hi Paul, check all the track link pins are all the way through, I had this happen, and the track rides up the sprocket and jams,

Thanks for the help, however it wasn't that, but on the other hand I can't tell you what it was! I went to investigate it tonight, and guess what? It works fine, it's a little stiff but it doesn't jam any more. I must have been hallucinating, could have been the mushrooms I had for dinner.

Paul,

Make sure the drive spockets are in line with the road wheels, and the track runs in line. Trust me it only needs to be out by a few mils If not the tracks can jam at times as it gets pulled to one side. The other point to look out for is to make sure the pins and rollers on the drive spockets are fully fix via glue and can not come out. I have put my in from the outside and not as per the drawings from Armortek, which are fitted from the inside. This way you can check if any have moved and push them back in a lot easier.

Thanks for the info, I have a feeling that this may have been something that got picked up in the tracks, it has not happened again so fingers crossed. I have also glued the sprocket pins in from the out side, and for the same reason.
