Acoms R/C

Hi Guys ,
I have just dug out my old Acoms ARA-427 four channel R/C.Unfortunately I have lost the battery lead to the reciever.I can mod another lead to fit but which way round does the Pos and Neg go I don't want to blow up the reciever .So if any of you guys got one kicking about please give me a shout.

Jeff,

I am not familiar with your radio or reciever; however, their is a possible way to deduce the battery polarities:


What I mean is if the reciever works with standard servos - futaba servos for example, the pins for the servos can be used to deduce the battery leads.

Hi Jeff,

The standard servo wiring for Carson/Acoms is yellow/red/black.
When you have the receiver in front of you, with the servo plug-ins on the right hand side de sequence is ( from left to right ) yellow = signal / red = plus / black = minus.

For your battery lead this would mean: red on the center pin and black on the right hand pin (receiver positioned as above).

Thanks for answering my question.I found the lead,it was under my nose all the time!All seems to be working Ok.
