What should the next Armortek kit be?

We have been giving a great deal of thought to this much debated question. We want it to be something completely different, i.e. not a model or variation of anything we have done before.

We know that it is impossible to please everyone and we must of course consider manufacturing and commercial issues in our decision.

With this in mind we would be interested in hearing the views of what you would like, however would like you to state a model that you would like to see and whether if it was released you would seriously consider purchasing. If you do not wish to put your view on the forum of course feel free to email me directly at sales@armortek.co.uk. We are happy to receive emails from poteneitail new customers as well, who do not currently have access to the forum.

We look forward to hearing your views.

If you want a safe cash cow make a Stug III, and do it before some other rc 1:6th vendor does it.
But make it with the blank fire unit and if possible a recoil.

If you want to make something completly new and different do a FT17.
Small (less £), different, qute (attract the other better ½ of the human race) and transport/lifting friendly.
Was also used in both ww and is the mother of all tanks with revolvering turrets.

I think the M48 A2C is a great Tank.
He´s not so old like the Tiger Tank or the other great Tanks we can by here. But i think he would be worth to build.

Goes to show what diversity there is but here goes in order of preference:

Comet - good size, fast, good operational record
Pz IV - companion for the Pz III and lots of choice
Matilda - iconic desert tank, topical with the Tamiya kit just out
Centurion - huge variety of choice, the best operational record of all tanks, would appeal to our Aussie collegues and therefore might sell in the US as they fought alongside it in both Korea and Vietnam.

Don't envy you the decision but I'm sure whatever you do will sell well.

No problem Gill - I'd seriously consider buying a Comet, Pz IV, Matilda or Centurion.

I have to say I wouldn't buy a Stug, T34 or any post war US tanks.

I'm really looking not just at the vehicle but the operational record which has to be of interest.

Hope that helps

Hi Gill and Mark

This is easy for me. I would definately buy both of the following vehicles.

Stug III Ausf G
Sdkfz 251 Ausf D

The Stug G would allow some early to late version leeway for the builder. The 251 woul be great for varient options for the builder.

Not sure those meet the "completely different" catagory but you would definately see some more of my money for both of the above. :)

Best regards and good luck with the decision.

If you want something small and easy to pick up, how about a Maus? <Joke> ;)

I prefer either the WW2 German 18 tone half-track FAMO or modern Kampfpanzer Leopard 2A6.

Hi Gill,

If can raise the money I would buy a Hummel or Comet, if it was something new, how about a Leopard or Challenger, mind you these will be a thing of the past shortly.
