Square bolts on rear deck plate?

One more question. The deck plate that the hatch hinges to (where the snorkel fits in ) has six of the square headed bolts along its rear edge.As supplied, these are proud of the plate. I noticed in a photo that these were in a recess and the tops of the bolts were flush with the deck plate. I don't know which variant that photo was taken of, but does anyone know how they should look on a late model?

Hi again Lionel,

I waited as long as I could to give someone else a chance to answer. :?

Judging by all the reference photos I have looked at, they should be flush with the top surface of the recesses they are in. It appears that all the fasteners in the rear deck-mounted plates sit flush with the surface. The ones that sit in the beveled edge of the intake guards(front grills) appear to be flush with top surface? I can't really tell from photos.

It seems it would make sense to have everything flush as on the Tiger II and Panther to reduce the chance of them getting in the way.

I'm a long ways off from that area so I'm sorry to say I haven't crossed that bridge yet.

good luck Lionel!
Kindest regards
Tim

Thanks again Tim,
I think that I will make the bolts flush, because as you say, all the photo's I've seen have been that way.If anyone know better, please come forwards as I hope to do this mod in the next few days.
