Littering and losing our running ground.

Hi Fellas.
I have just been on the phone with Richie who has kindly dropped off Antony's bunker today for us "Well done Richie" but!....while he was there he spoke to Danny from the main house who apparently is not very happy about the fact that he has found litter being left behind at the running ground, namely coke cans two! and some bits of wire, he told Richie that if he finds anymore "WE WILL BE OFF HIS LAND" now it seems a shame to me that the people who set this whole thing off namely myself and Antony might have our fun spoiled by others thoughtless actions.

So please if you take it with you take it home! we are only guests, Richie has suggested to me also that we have a bucket or something similar to take spent cartriges as it is only a matter of time befor these are also picked up on.
Thanks for your cooperation
Paul

Hi Paul,

I actually picked 2 coke cans up (Not mine as I prefer Pepsi  ) along with my smoke grenade canister. I agree we are only guests so lets all take responsibilty and look after our running ground as we all know how hard another one will be to find :?

On a positive note we shoud have our 2 mounds of earth for Richie's bridge for our next meet. I'm also going to make some telegraph poles but we still need more BUILDINGS, so come on and help build our village :!: :!:

Thanks Ant

Hi fellas.
Sorry to spoil the fun and go back to the original subject! but...i have tried to get Leighton on the phone twice this afternoon but no luck, so i have sent them a mail and assured them that there will be no repeat of the litter problem, and told them that Antony actually took the rubbish home with him.
I also asked if there had been any news regarding the alternative site that Lucy mentioned to us, so lets see what comes back this time.
Cheers Paul

Hi Fellas.
Had a reply from Leighton hall tonight here it is copied and pasted.

Hi Paul,

Thanks for the up date on the few points that have been raised. I will check what RGR has done with the key and come back to you if we need another one!

I am afraid to say that the land we were talking about has been taken again by the man that had it before, but Danny has been speaking with the gentleman that has land that backs on to ours to see if he has any space that he could let you use, so watch this space?

I will let you know as soon as we hear anything.

Cheers
Lucy

I presume RGR must be Richard Reynolds that i gave the key to? looks like the litter thing has gone away so thats good, lets just see if they do the soil.
Cheers Paul

Hi All,

After a discussion with Paul M at the beginning of this week, I have been into the estate agents at Carnforth and Kendal, I have inquired about land that is for rent within the remit we all spoke about, i.e. about an acre or two, we don’t want arable or grazing land, we would like to put up small buildings that will be taken down after each visit, we want it rough but not stony and we would like to put a shed on it or use existing buildings. Both said they think they might have something and will get back to me later next week.
