Thanks Tim . I think you and I are on the same playing field.. At least Allan can't have a go at me for leaving off my fenders this time !!!... I only have to do the other fender , then add the side fender rail and the construction of my Sherman is finished . Yesterday I had Noel down for a look and see . As he has not seen my Sherman for a while . He said it's SPOT ON!! . Everyone stay tuned , if the thought my tiger was the best paint job so far . In three weeks time my Sherman is going to be a show stopper . I can't wait . After two years of work I can hand it over to the master of all model tank painters ... Dale

I'd have to agree, looks stunning Dale
I love the extra details such as the cap holders for the head lights and the fire extinguisher box.
Did you have to treat the brass you used for the strip on the fenders
I bought some brass boiler band material to make this part but it's so springy that I couldn't get it the go into the right shape for the curve of the fender
Adrian.

Dale,
I don't remember having a go at your fender, I thought that they were guitar's. Like you I noticed tha the fenders are short and made new ones. Have you got this link to Sherman photos?http://www.tiger1.co.uk/vehicles/Saumur ... index.html
This is a photographic survey done by Jon Sander when he and Vince went to France. There is a good photo of the front fender there showing haw it mates to the top of the final drive housing and the welding.
