REME Museum Warfare Weekend.

A good weekend back at the REME Museum. Thanks to everyone who attended over the two days and provided me with access to their toolboxes.

Some very odd issues with one particular King Tiger, which we eventually diagnosed as a couple of crushed cables and two missing motor brushes, having used Chris's Churchill as a donor vehicle to allow us to swap out various things during the diagnosis.

I was too busy fixing things and enjoying cakes to take pictures, but hopefully others will comment with some in this thread.

Adrian.

Hi all

This was my first time at REME and it didn't disappoint. Thanks for the great company and expert advice on various topics.
Here are some photos from both days.

Gary

H for Hench Tiger or should that be Henschel?
(No Hydrants were damaged by me in the staging of this photograph)

Adrian,
Thanks for the coverage. That loader is very nice, any details on it? That would be an awesome project, I’ve been trying to get AT to produce some sort of tank hauler, preferably WW2, but any era or nation would do.

Sadly I wasn't there on the Saturday and it wasn't there on the Sunday.

Apparently he's in a similar role to Vince Abbot and makes models for film/tv productions.
I'm sure someone mentioned this had been used for filming but can't recall the title.

I did wonder if Steve had unintentionally invented the new sport of "Tiny Tigers Toppling Things".

Adrian.

I think I found the builder of the tank hauler, there are a few build more videos for this project on his channel, very interesting.

A great day with good friends. Had to pry the Jagdtiger controller out of Greg’s hands, it’s seems he likes the way it drives :D
Chieftain with my new brushless drive in works well.

I was only able to get there on the Saturday, but it was a great day - good weather, interested crowd, great company, and an increasing number of other displays.

Thanks for the trip !

Chris

Message from the Museum:

Dear All,
A big THANK YOU for all you support and fantastic work at this years show, we genuinely couldn’t do this without you!
We had a phenomenal day, doubling our visitor figures from 2024 and tripling the donations to the REME Charity – thank you again.
