Thank you for that I do not have that page. The instructions that came with my module only stated that RC3 input will control the sound that is played (engines tart guns firing etc) nothing specific. All clear now and that are the sounds I get so a happy bunny thanks again

Is it easily possible to re-program the sound card for sounds 5 & 6 for the quick and slow marches of a different regiment that you had served with ?
During my 22 years service, I wat attached to & fixing tanks ( Chiefy, Challenger 1 & 2) at 4 different cavalry regiments, QRIH, 14th/20th , QDG & RDG, was never attached to one of the Royal Tank Regiments.

Also although I was trained on the Chieftain electrical systems, my first unit quickly changed to Challenger 1 so my main experience was on maintaining & fixing those but I believe the same principles applied to the Chieftain.
Normal procedure, if the tactical situation allowed and the Aux Engine (GUE )was functional, was to start it first and allow it to run for a few minutes before trying to start the main engine. Had two effects, was recharging the batteries before attempting to start the main engine and because the cooling systems were interlinked the hot coolant from the GUE was flowing round the main engine block pre-warming it making it easier to start.
