Hi Fellow tankers,
My observations regarding my barrel. I have fitted the elevation motor and the recoil unit.

When I elevate the barrel it rises very slowly but when I lower the barrel it drops quickly. I have checked everything and it all seems ok.

Have any Loe builders experienced the same issue.

I haven’t built a leopard gun but due to weight and gravity the gun will raise slower than it lowers unless you have balanced the barrel weight with a counter weight

Hi Martin,
I am currently playing around trying to set up a system to limit the gun elevation so that it automatically stops at around +20 deg and -10 deg so that I can try to sort a gun stabilisation system so I am currently powering the screw jack directly with 24V and there is minimal speed difference between raising and lowering the gun.
