A good day at BDAC again, in our usual spot using the Comet as a sun shade
They had asked us to bring D-Day related models, so three Churchills, including David's brilliant SBG carrying AVRE, plus a Sherman and a Cromwell.
There were also Panthers, Tigers and a JagdPanther in attendance, but that might not have been the angle they were after
Thanks to all who attended and put on such a good display
Adrian.

I missed the memo about D-Day stuff
not that I've got anything relevant anyway
It was a good turnout from the 'usual suspects' - I counted 15 models:
3x Tiger I
JagdTiger
Panther (Early G)
Panther (Late G)
JagdPanther
PzIII
2x Churchill
Churchill AVRE / SBG
Cromwell
Comet
Sherman M4A3
T34/85
That means we hade 7 Allied and 7 Axis - my BeutePanther,
Deserter, can swing either way
- The SBG was certainly a head-turner .......
And, as Boscombe Down has an Aviation Museum, I was pleased to be invited to get into the Lancaster cockpit ........ which was nice
Thanks to Denny and Adrian for arranging it all.
Best wishes.
Chris

Good to see you all on Sunday, it's a nice little show at a quirky interesting venue, Has Denny booked up for his Parachute experience next year, we've crowd funded the cost, Thanks for the Tea and cake, regards simon.

A great day out in the sun, friends, tanks, aeroplanes, ice cream and bacon butties. All that and a very interesting and friendly museum. A must for next year. Photos mostly speak for themselves, the models were looking superb in the sun but tricky to photograph in the hard light. The North American AT-6 Harvard (Texan) was giving dual instruction and the pilot was very keen to get a picture of a model in front of his aircraft. I've spared you the posing that went on, suffice to say his daughter enjoyed driving the Pz III but sadly, there was no reciprocal offer of a trip in the Harvard.
