Finally finished both sets of links. What a job. My fingers are shredded.

Congratulations! I still have some modifications planned for my track set, so it'll be a long ways off until I can say the same for myself.

How did you choose to surface finish the aluminum parts? They look painted, but I'm thinking of using 'cold blue' to darken my set.

I was thinking of doing the same to my Leopard as i did with my Tiger 1.

I used this product to blacken the tow cables, works great.
got inventive and dipped a set of Tiger tracks in, result, one set of rusted tracks not needing paint.

may do the same but will experiment with a link or two for concentration.

Hi, I wanted to get them darker than the bright aluminum.
I appreciate they will get dirty and take on a more natural color with time. Two coats of grey primer the two coats of dark grey acrylic rattle cans.
