Miniature belt linisher

Post by mick whittingham »

Hi all.

I'm building a series 1 4x4 kit and wanted a small belt linisher for flattening parts. There are a few on Ebay but they look pretty weak.

Proxxon do similar machines but they are silly money.

So I bought some proxxon belts and set about making a linisher from scratch.

A few bearings and some odds and ends of metal and here we go. A 40mm width belt with about 60mm of bed length.

It's driven by a Foredom motor with flexi driveshaft so I can move it round the bench.

Finished the machine off, it's quite powerful driven from a bench motor.
