The false floor is now black, I'm not so sure with the dark colour this high up, as a floor then yes it's in shadow but maybe this high the white is what you would see as you peer in the cabin? Or maybe it gives the illusion of depth?

A stand off for the hinges is necessary or the door cannot funtion, also the aperture needs increasing or the  fixings won't work.

There's no kit machine gun mounted armour piece so i will have to make one.

I have the mg led to mount in that lovely Vickers some how but I don't want to compromise the integrity of the  piece  as it's fairly delicate, so I will have to be creative.

The speaker should be facing upwards and bolted in the turret but I'm not keen on the intrusion.

The speaker will now live bolted to the dummy floor, that way the turret hatches can be opened to view the interior details. I have lots of holes to drill in that floor.

The turret interior was pretty sparse due to a lack of space I suppose but I can add some kit and fixture detail just like a serving vehicle would have had. Some vehicles didn't have a turret roof!

Today's work, to include the turret main hatch, wiring the gun with a red led and fitting m2 to the turret armour.

Don't ask me what this piece was for ( I guess it's a stiffener) but the kit didn't have one but it does now.

The mg is rather nicely made of brass, turned aluminum, copper ( for the water jacket ), timber for the grips and a little white metal for the smaller detailed parts.

The Vickers and the elevation installed and working nicely, gloss white interior top coat and changing out fixings for smaller ones. 8)
