you are right, the edges doesn't look like this, but this is the start of the first part of Zimm. Have a look to the next photos - it's not finished now, but better than the last pictures?

Pretty good Martin, have you tried actually breaking or knocking areas away when it's nice and hard? It tends to leave a very nice pattern where the tool marks were.

i brake the Zimmerit away if it was fresh and soft.

The swing arms are first mounted, now i start the adjustment of the correct angle at 35° and also the alignment of the steel track from the roadwheels to the idler wheel.
Slowly it looks like a king tiger again.

now the swing arms are glued and fixed in after adjustment and now i start with the etch primer for the hull.
The road wheels are ready for mountingon the swing arms. But first painting the hull!!

after the etch primer comes the primer and than the first colour: dunkelgelb.

After the first row is mounted and weathered for the first time, i start with the painting in winter white.

yes i use Milliput white/red for the Zimmerit and the weldings.
Here comes the road wheels after weathering again after the white painting and then the outer wheels are ready for mount.

After some time the outer wheels are also painted in brown and black and than in white with weathering.

After the pipes for the smokers i mount the fake motor with his tanks and water pipes. Also the final drive is already mount - so i can position the e-motors.
