Sorry the hear about you having the radiation treatment, hope everything is well...

Seeing you're post here and hearing about all the experts who are over there i think of paying you guys a visit...

My progress is much slower because all the other stuff i have to build and do.

The bad thing is we lost our baby, pregnancy didn't go well and had to go to the hospital...
So to be out for a moment and try to set things straight we go to the Ardennes. Also while being there we'll do a photoshoot of The King Tiger 213 in La Gleize and some of the Panther G's that can be found there also...
The rest of the time is for my Girlfriend...

More news about it on my site when we return...

Greetings from Belgium

Im sad to hear about of your loss. I hope you guys can have another try in the future. My wife and i had a loss of a child in the early days but now we have 6 of them so there is hope for all.
So i hope you enjoy your ardennes trip and im a tad jealous as i would grab a metal detector with me :)

Keep it up Sven and by the sight of you homepage its looking good.

Regards
Fredrik

Your turbocharged King Tiger is coming on very well...
I'm almost jealous of your KT....

First i want to make some more reference pictures in La Gleize to be sure i have the right stuff an be able to make things as accurate as possible...
A metaldetector would be handy but the rest of our time there is for the Girlfriend...

For Kent i do a little detour to make some pictures of the Panther G in Houffalize.

If you desire some special pictures of the KT let me know and i see what i can do...

Hope everything else is O.K with you....

Stunning buildspeed and skill performance in the "Kent treatment".
That KT of yours will be finished before I have my Panther hull assembled

Sven//

Helping me with those photos of the Houffalize Panther will "make my Easter".
Enjoy the trip to the Bulge but remember there are other things in life but tanks...Take care of your woman! You will need an understandable (better)½ when the heavy tank-build starts.

Man, I wish I lived in Belgium/Holland.
A land littered with nice Panzers.

Best wishes
Kent

It is a combination, on the way up there we go by the several Tanks and do the photoshoot. The destination is the hotel,The 1st day Tanks is for me and the other 3 days is for her.Nice balance i would say...

There are a lot of Panzers in Belgium yes, but one in my Garden would be better

4 Days to go...

Greetings

Hi guys.

Im going to let the Kingbuild rest some as i atm have no energy to build at all.
And im waiting on all my extra parts from Mike and Steve.
Plus some new O-rings for the Suspension shafts i ordered a bigger and more fat size as i want hull to be fully waterproof.
And ofcourse i want my Motionpack so i can go shopping with it :)

The wheel conversion is almost done, just need to cut out some brass lock tabs and buy the Ba bolts for the hubs.
As the treatment sucks the living shit outa me figuraly speaking.
Im going to take a break and mabey just focus on the stuff we swedes are working on.

Still going to post pics if i do some minor progress :)

Fredrik,

Take your time, your health is more important...
The King Tiger will still be there...

I'm also going to fit in some fatter O-rings, there's room for it.
I'm not there yet but i'm already thinking ahead...

My trip in the Ardennes is almost over but i can be happy cause i took some 338 pictures of KT 213 and Panther G 111 or 401.
Still i know when i get home i'll find something missing so one day i will have to return...

Kent

Just a few days more and you'll have the DVD with the pictures, but to tell you now...The number on the exhaust isn't so good to read :? , When i get home i'll mail you the pictures cause the connection i have now is to slow...

Hear you soon guys

Appreciate your effort and look forward to see what photos you were able to take. Big thanks in advance!

Amazing thing this forum - having members near the real thing able to take photos is a spin off effect impossible to value enough.
Access here to all knowledge hidden here among members is something the rest of our hobby with other vendor-made tanks can only dream about!

Cheers
Kent

I must agree with you Kent, this forum is the greatest really!!.

And here is a little some of the things i did easter weekend and some pics of the wheel bolts and nuts........they are so tiny but scale correct :).

Image
Thnx Stefan for letting me in on where to get theese. Im using the small bolts and nuts as the original pattern shown on next pic.
Image
Mr.Dremel is going to make the fake slit as you see on the wheel.
Image
Original will still be in the outer rim but there is a difference :)
Image
Kaboooom TS-3 Gun. Not still pleased with it thou.
Image
The mantlet ended up shocking good just need to drill the holes for the locking wire in the bolts and some minor adjustments and addons.
Image
Image
Did some of the wrench slots in the recoil damper and i will lathe it down to the right size as it is to fat and the muzzle hole is 14.2mm and should be if im correct close to 17mm with freeplay for the projectile.
Image
Will also try and ad the inner ring somehow and dremel away the flat surface inside
Image
Some wheels ready for assembly :)

Thats all folks just wanted to post theese as i will rest the build for about 2 weeks

Cya all

Sigh and double sigh.
I have realized that it will take me ages to get the wheels to look like the correct ones. The Tiger 1 steelrims are more correct on the bolt split and you have the Slit plate on it already as i checked stefans wheels. Dunno how the look when they come outof the box thou.
So i think i will have to pass on doing them as i will have to redrill the whole wheel set if so.

Big difference as you see. Wich is a pity as i love the kit.

Oh another thing to order :) Sweet thnx for the post Simon.
As hes doing my hatch im going to order a set of that template...
Btw all, My hull is now totally waterproof....and i know for sure.
I fitted the new O-rings at a dim 15X3.2mm and sank it into the bathtub as i did before..........IT FLOATS :). Well not really but no water is coming in from the bearings and around that area wich is now siliconed also (Between sidehull and the bearing bar).

Happy weekend.

We have our trip to Rhodos on sunday wich we have been looking forward to..

So im going to just relax and get some sun
