A few hours put in today and other than the PE grill over the top that's the fan cowlings sorted.
All the PE grill parts have been prepared for painting.
The small panel with the bracket at the rear is also done.
The Radiator cowlings are still in red oxide at the moment awaiting some parts from Tim Page.

Rear deck is finished with for now with just a little bit left to do to the radiator cowling.
My rotary table has been set back up and am now about to start the road wheels.
Quite a lot of clean up noticed so this is going to take forever I think

Good morning Malcolm.
Took me about a week, on and off, to reduce to road wheels.
Good luck, I the effort is worth it.
Cheers
Charles

Hours of work to deburr and clean up the road wheels and not even looked at reducing the rim yet.
11 done with 23 still to do.

Just noticed that while going through the wheels it looks like I may have a couple where the lip is quite a bit shorter.
2mm different between these two.

Technically there is no need to reduce the size of the lip on the wheel.
However, from an aesthetic point of view you may want to do so. Also, something to keep in mind is that the inside faces of the wheels will not be visible when the tank is on the ground.

Finally finished cleanup and reduction of the lip height of all 32 road wheels.
Lip Dimensions have been taken from the two extra wheels that I ordered for the tanks turret which must be from a later batch.
These look right.
I'm keeping these two separate from the others as they do seem to be very slightly different anyway.
They are all prepped up for a primer coat.
This has taken so many hours to do but totally worth it.

Evening Charles,
Yes, they turned out so good and look as they should do.
You do have to be so careful though when milling this edge off. If you try to take off too much material each pass it is so easy to bend the rim.
The build up of these road wheels takes so so long

And just about managed to get the one half of the first sixteen wheels fully primed and supported for drying.
Quite a productive day in the end

Malcolm.
So right about about how much to take off without "biting". We have survived.
Do like your painting apparatus though.

Nothing road wheel related today as due to the weather painting was abandoned.
Thought I would modify the rubber antenna mount from Mr Lawson instead.
I needed to convert the M3 screw thread molded into the mount to a longer M4 thread so that the original mounting hole can be used.
A turned down 4mm diameter off cut of brass rod with a 3mm hole down the middle and a thread on one end worked well.
Antenna obviously need finishing but pretty pleased with the result.
Hopefully back to priming the road wheels tomorrow
